Description: U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) is a joint command comprised of more than 1,200 military and civilian personnel representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and several other federal agencies. This onsite event will be part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month and will take place during a mandatory command-wide training event.

This event is hosted by the US Southern Command and their J6 Communications Directorate. SOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation, as well as the force protection of U.S. military resources, in its assigned Area of Responsibility which includes: Central America, South America, The Caribbean (except U.S. commonwealths, territories, and possessions). The JS Communications Team works towards creating and maintaining a secure communication system for all SOUTHCOM and its subordinate elements.

There will be three speaking sessions both days.
